Chance the Rapper Interview On The View
Chance The Rapper was on the view he was asked his opinion on the vandalism at Leborn James Los Angeles home a few days ago, his mansion’s gate was tagged with the word NIgga.
“It’s kind of a common pattern in America’s history,” Chance says. “People who look like me get to a certain point success—I mean LeBron James, to me, is the greatest of all time basketball player. People want to remind you, well how they view you, as a second class citizen. And you know, it’s not much you can do other than keep thriving. Shout out to LeBron.”
Leborn James addressed the incident while answering questions about his Finals match against the Warriors.
“Hate in America, especially for African Americans, is living every day,” said the Cleveland Cavaliers forward, who will be playing in Game 1 of the NBA Finals tonight. “And even though it’s concealed most of the time, even though people hide their faces and will say things about you and when they see you they smile in your face, it’s a life every single day.”
